For students benefitting from grants awarded on the basis of social criteria:

International mobility grant, social criteria grant Occitania Region website for youth

The grant amounts to 250€ per month (2022 rate).

    • Both the CROUS grant, and the Regional Council International Mobility grant can be combined.
    • The Regional Council International Mobility grant and the Erasmus+ grant are not cumulative.

For students not benefitting from a state grant:

Council of Occitania may be able to help with your studies or traineeship abroad. This financial help can be combined with the Erasmus+ grant.

To benefit from this specific grant (“Forfait d’aide à la Mobilité Internationale”) from the Regional Council of Occitania, the following criteria apply:

This assistance aims to provide financial support for students who do not receive a grant based on social criteria (coming from a household with a family quotient below or equal to 25,000€) registered at any institution of Higher Education partnered with either the Montpellier or Toulouse Academies and planning to pursue a part of their student curriculum or a traineeship abroad (excluding the French Overseas Departments, Territories, Collectivities and Countries: DOM TOM, COM POM).

The monthly amount granted will vary according to the chosen destination, and to whether or not an Erasmus+ grant has been awarded.

    • An “International – outside Europe” allowance of 300 €/month for the duration of your mobility period (the list of destinations corresponds to institutions not eligible for the Erasmus+ Programme).
    • A “Europe” allowance of 250€/month if the student does not receive an Erasmus+ Grant or 150€/month if he or she does (the list of destinations corresponds to institutions eligible for the Erasmus+ Programme).
